Isabelle van Brussel

Belgian creative and visual artist Isa/belle/beau/bo

always seeking for beauty with an irresistible urge to create and from an inexhaustible curiosity for everything born, lives and works in Ghent, Belgium

From a deep connection with Mother Earth, her (bio)diversity, the beautiful memories during various walks and adventurous treks in a time before Corona, nowadays the nostalgia of her parents’ old floristry, she creates imaginary intuitive abstract land/sea/plant/(E)scapes

The combination of impressions around her and the inner experience during the painting process provide an enormous creative freedom, away from the many current negative influences nowadays. She loves to explore nature with all it different shapes, colors, surfaces, colluvial and alluvial brown earths… the variety of eroded landscapes, vulcanons, valleys, rugged isolated coastlines and their untouched natural flow.

Abstract views of the world - form forces from nature landscapes in (e)motion - everything is changeable and relative -

Imaginary abstract landscapes in a random pallet starting from sketches/little paintings with spontaneous bold vivid colours and textures, intuitively on paper and canvas, combining acrylics (sometimes oils), traditional techniques & digital new tools, she selects some of them for further investigation in an alchemical pictorial way. She paints layers by layers to discover utopic bold colorful energetic land(e)scapes or ... is it an unspoiled INNER discovery?

Anyway a tribute to Mother Earth!
